Originally, the Early Gothic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is from the 14th century.

The Gothic origin of the Church of the Conception of the Virgin Mary is nowadays noticeable in the vaulting of the presbytery and on the victory arch, and is confirmed by the oldest mention in the Meissen clerical records from 1346. In the 18th century it was reconstructed in the Baroque style and extensions were carried out in the 19th century.

The Marian chapel from the early 18th century is dedicated to Our Lady of the Snows
