The exposition of the Krkonoše Museum is located in the granite building, known in Harrachov as Šindelka.

Shingled roof covering was produced here from the beginning of the 19th century until the 1930s. The last 60,000 shingles produced in 1934 were used for the old Labská bouda chalet.

The exposition of the forestry is located on the ground floor of the building, informing visitors about the whole range of forestry issues, starting from exploitation of forest cover, drawing tree trunks closer to roads and their transportation for further processing, to the following restoration of a forest and care taken of it.

The exposition on hunting and gamekeeping on the first floor of the building focuses on gamekeeping as it developed throughout the ages, from the past until the present, reminding for example of hunting and gamekeeping traditions, game animals, hunting rifles and dogs, and gamekeeping in arts and common life.

The most attractive exhibit, especially for children, is the area of the "over-wintering chamber", with several forest animals gathered around a feeding rack with various types of feed. Red deer, roe deer, wild boar, a fox and birds - 14 taxidermies altogether, while in the whole exposition there are 32 of them.

Short video programmes illustrating individual topics are continuously played in five places of the exposition without any commentary, and on the first floor there is an additional projection corner where beautiful shots from nature are projected together with accompanying music.

A foreign language (German) guide is available for groups on the basis of a written order.
